I watched my parents serve their community with selflessness, passion, and grit. I followed their example and went to work serving my own community, especially our youth. After I encountered young people in Mexico absolutely broken because the system had let them down, I realized our leaders weren’t doing their job to fight for the kids in our own community. Fort Worth ISD has seen a massive drop in enrollment. Parents don’t trust the district’s decision-makers to give their children the opportunities they deserve. If none of our leaders will fight for our kids, I’ll do it as the next Fort Worth ISD Trustee.
